Here is a brief outline of events in which our group ‘Castañuelas’ has participated.

• Performed seven years consecutively in the ‘National Folkloric Festival’ at the Opera House.
• Performed at Darling Harbour 1990 for the Prince of Asturias from Spain visiting Australia.
• Opening performance at Darling Harbour for the ‘Barcelona 1992 & Fiesta 1993’.
• Appeared on Channel 9’s TV show "Wonder World".
• Achieved first place in the ‘NSW Holland Festival’, Folk Dance contest in 1993.
• Performance at the ‘Chinese Festival’ - Cabramatta Park 1993, 1994 and 1996.
• Achieved first place in the Character Dance Group division for the McDonald’s City of Sydney Performing Arts Challenge, held at the Opera House.
• Guest appearance on the ‘At Home with John Mangos’ show on Channel 7 in 1994.
• Performed at the ‘Royal Theatre’ with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra for the ‘ABC Quest 1995’ - Hobart.
• Performed at the ‘Aurora Festival’ - Darling Harbour 1995.
• 1995 performed in the Spanish Cultural Society, "Remembering Falla" - Homage to Manuel Falla.
• Performed at the International Ancient Festival in Xian, City of China, 13^th and 14^th September 1996.
• Performed on October 1995 at the ANA Hotel and on October 1996 at Sydney Hilton Hotel for the Spanish Chambers of Commerce.
• Performed at Coffs Harbour University for the ‘Spanish Fiesta’ on 26^th October 1996.
• Participated in the ‘1997 Restaurant Awards’ at Darling Harbour Convention Centre.

In recent years, the group has been involved in interesting projects combining the classical Spanish guitar, opera singing and drama.

Apart from many other events not listed above, the group has also toured and performed around Australia including N.S.W, Canberra and Hobart. The group has been together for more than twelve years and has performed in many well-known stages such as the Sydney Opera House, Tasmanian Royal Theatre, Parramatta Riverside Theatre and the Metro in Sydney.
